Mrs. Thara Uthappa did her schooling from St. Joseph’s Convent, Madikeri, North Kodagu, Karnataka , India and Graduation from St.Teresean College, Mysore, Karnataka, India.
Mrs. Thara is an avid Golf enthusiast, having won many tournaments including the ‘Assam Rifles Golf Tournament’ with a special distinction of accomplishing the rare feat of getting a “Hole-in-One”. She is well travelled due to her time spent in the Army as the Wife of late Col. K.A Uthappa, She has been part of many voluntary organizations run by the Army, especially ‘ASHA Foundation’, which provides education and nurtures the talents of special children of people working for the Army.
She brings to this organization a vast and varied experience in social services.
